This website is intended to provide a visual and textural history of the family housing at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Completed in 2007, the website was developed by Fort Belvoir Residential Communities LLC (FBRC).

The purpose of this website is to document the history of housing at Fort Belvoir through 2003, prior to the privatization of housing on post. This site was completed in partial fulfillment of an agreement relating to the privatization of Fort Belvoir's family housing. As part of the privatization process, FBRC entered into an agreement outlining stipulations considering the effects of privatization on historic properties. The agreement specified that, in coordination with Fort Belvoir Cultural Resource Management and the Virginia State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), FBRC would prepare a multimedia presentation of the history of Army family housing at Fort Belvoir.
